Karl Werne gave the consummate one-man show at Little Tree Acoustic
on July 17, 2009.
An expert performer, Karl had the audience in the palm of his hand
the entire evening, engaging everyone with the many stories behind
his original lyrics, and absolutely wowing all of us with his skillful
and creative guitar playing.
Karl has played with many accomplished musicians over the years,
including Keb Mo, Eddie Williams, Curtis Eley, Dan Martier (from
the Tim Reynolds Trio), Dana Silvercloud (Kool & The Gang and The
Atlantic Fleet Navy Band), and more. These days his solo acts in
Virginia often end with as many as five musicians on stage who
he invites up with him - a musician's musician, his audience is
full of talent.
In addition to his "solo" acts, Karl also plays in a powerful
three-part-harmony trio of singer-songwriters with diverse
backgrounds and positive lyrics under the name "Big Wide Grin".
Big Wide Grin will be coming to Little Tree Acoustic this year.
