Poet Chris Hoffman and guitarist Jeff Wahl performed a special show on November 20, 2009
that combined moving poetry and breathtaking guitar playing, woven together to create a
compelling night of music for the ear and for the soul. The evening began with two solo
pieces by Jeff on guitar, followed by two short poems by Chris, and then the two created
magic by combining original works that flowed so seamlessly one could easily be convinced
they conceived the pieces together. The show moved gracefully from profound and
thought-provoking exposés on the human condition and man's place in the natural
world, to whimsical portraits of a father's experience of his son's growth and discovery.
Wahl's guitar playing mirrored and amplified the mood reflected in Hoffman's words, and
combined, the artists' poetry and music became much more powerful together. The evening
was absolutely enchanting, and many audience members encouraged Chris and Jeff to
embark on a recording project together.
